A New Member, AVATR 15 SUV Is Coming.

On May 6, 2024, AVATR officially released the third vehicle of AVATR, the AVATR 15. Later, spy photos of AVATR 15 refueling at a gas station appeared online. According to official sources, AVATR 15 is positioned as a mid-size SUV, offering two power systems: extended-range hybrid and pure electric. It is expected to be officially unveiled in the second half of this year and will compete with models such as Tesla Model Y and Li L6, with an expected price range of 250,000 to 350,000 yuan.

From the pictures, we know that AVATR 15 adopts a design style similar to AVATR 11, with rounded front lines and a closed grille, equipped with a black surround below. The front of the car is equipped with C-shaped LED light strips on both sides, and the sharp angle design adds a futuristic sense to the front of the vehicle.

The side D-pillar has a design similar to a sloping back, which will be more rounded than AVATR 11. Additionally, the new car will be equipped with hidden door handles and streaming media exterior mirrors. It is expected that the taillights will also adopt a through-type design, and the rear design style will remain consistent with other models in the AVATR family. Finally, the roof is equipped with a luggage rack and a trailer hook.

In terms of body size, AVATR 15 is longer than 4.8 meters, with a wheelbase of more than 2.9 meters, slightly smaller than AVATR 11. For reference, the length, width, and height of AVATR 11 are 4880/1970/1601mm, and the wheelbase is 2975mm.

In terms of power, AVATR 15 will be equipped with two power forms: pure electric and extended range. It will also be equipped with a new generation of lithium iron phosphate superchargeable batteries provided by CATL (expected to be Shenxing battery, capable of charging 400 kilometers in 10 minutes). In addition, Avita 15 will also be equipped with a periscope laser radar and is expected to adopt Huawei's intelligent driving solution, with high-speed/city navigation assistance capabilities.

Currently, AVATR has two EV car models, AVATR 11 and AVATR 12, both of which are positioned as high-end and use pure electric drive. With the addition of AVATR 15, which provides an extended-range hybrid drive and a more affordable price, it is hoped that AVATR will bring good sales growth.
